Commentary

Another omitting the bind play - the scholar besieges the priest with a schutzen in the same way as in previous play, and the priest doesn't react. He isn't taking the bind in any way, possibly he is just checking the scholar's shield by his shield. 

In this case, the scholar is adviced to thrust after a successful siege. So he uses a cover of schutzen to close in from out of measure, and when in contact distance (without the priest reacting), he turns his schutzen into a thrust. This the priest will possibly not defend, because the scholar is already too close, and without binding the priest cannot react fast enough.
