Here the unnamed siege is introduced. Because it is a rising cut, recommended defence is to bind above and not below. Binding below would not stop the cut, and there would be danger for the head. The whole play is finished by frontal arms grab, which is one possible action from binding below and on the left, which is the situation where scholar will end.
